The Global Asthma Report from 2014 says that as many as 334 million people worldwide have asthma. Asthma is the chronic inflammation of airways that is primarily caused by exposure to allergens such as dust, mould, pollen, animal dander and secondhand smoke. Many asthma sufferers experienced infantile eczema when they were babies. In fact, according to Science Daily, 50-70% of babies with this skin condition develop asthma as they grow older.
